Non-Fiction Reading: Reyna Grande

Reyna Grande is a non-fiction writer and novelist. Her memoir, The Distance Between Us, focuses on her life before and after illegally immigrating—on her own at age ten—to the United States from Mexico. She is also author of the novels Across a Hundred Mountains and Dancing with Butterflies. She has won the American Book Award, International Latino Book Award, and was a National Book Critics Circle Award finalist.

Fiction Reading: Tobias Wolff

Acclaimed fiction writer, author of The Barracks Thief, Old School, “Bullet in the Brain,” and many other works. Among numerous accolades, he has received the Pen/Faulkner Award, National Medial of the Arts, and L.A. Times Book Prize. A reception will be held before the reading, from 4-5 PM, to meet the author and have books signed.
